Topical Studies/Focus Classes

From time to time we offer special classes on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. In September Lisa Wood, our Pastor to Children and their Families will be teaching a parenting course on Wednesday evening.

Our Senior Pastor, Chuck Queen will be teaching two classes in the fall. On Wednesday nights he will be leading a class entitled “Rethinking the Christian Faith.” This class will be based on a presentation and discussion of Marcus Borg’s book, The Heart of Christianity: Rediscovering a Life of Faith. Borg sketches a new way of envisaging Christianity for thinking people presenting a compelling alternative to both the fundamentalist and old liberal versions. The other class will be offered on Sunday evenings and will present an introduction to the thought and theology of Paul.

As the times for these classes get nearer more information will be provided. Feel free to inquire (cqueen@fewpb.net). Our classes are open to the larger community. The only cost may involve the purchase of a book.
